- Computer – An electronic data processor or machine that takes input, process that input and provides output on the basis of instructions given to it.
- Hardware – The tangible parts of a computer system.
- Software – A collection of programs that helps us to perform a specific task.
- Program – Set of information given to computer.
- Hard Copy – The information printed on paper with the help of computer.
- Soft Copy – The information stored on a computer in the form of file.
- Input – Data or instructions given to computer
- Processing – The execution of instructions by a computer.
- Output – The result given by computer after processing of data and instructions.
- System software – A collection of software that controls the working of computer.
- Application software – A collection of software that is designed for specific types of task.
- Operating System – The system software that controls system hardware, software and other application software.
- Network – A connection of two or more computers.
- Server – The main computer of network that serves other computers of the network. Server fulfils the request of client computer.
- Client computer – A computer of a network that sends request to the server.

- Internet – It is an international network that connects all other networks of computers all around the world.
- Web Page – It is a formatted text document on the Web
- Website - It is a collection of webpages which are connected to each other through hyperlinks.
- Web browser – It is a software which helps us access and view websites/webpages on the internet.
- Web server – It is a computer connected 24-hour with the internet which stores webpages. It accepts requests for web pages from web browsers and fulfils them.
- World Wide Web (WWW) – It is a web of web servers connected to each other on internet all around the world.
